CLIFFORD G. WORSHAM SURFACE WATER TREATMENT FACILITY
Mr. Clifford G. Worsham served as a Commissioner on the Public Utility Commission of the City of Corinth from its origin in 1954 until May 2000 lending his expertise and knowledge to the Commission.
His leadership was instrumental in pursuing a Surface Water System for Corinth and the surrounding area. He helped lead the development of the City of Corinth Gas & Water Departments through five (5) decades and remained a strong supporter and advocate for the growth of this area.
The Board of Commissioners of the Public Utility Commission of the City of Corinth, Mississippi, at its regular meeting on May 14, 2007 declared recognition to Clifford G. Worsham for his outstanding service rendered to this community and stated its intent to name the City of Corinth SURFACE WATER TREATMENT PLANT, when constructed, in honor of him as a lasting tribute for his many years of service.
Mr. Worsham was honored with a brunch on July 17, 2007 at the Cook Coggin Engineers, Inc. office location at 701 Foote St. and presented a framed copy of the above mentioned "Declaration of Intent To Name City of Corinth Surface Water Treatment Plant In Honor of Clifford G. Worsham".
